Certifications & export documents

Power stations sit at the intersection of three rule sets: product safety, battery transport and market access. Below is every document we work with, what it actually covers, and the ones that have to be arranged for your specific model.

Document list

UL 2743US — the safety standard for portable power supplies. A UL 2743 test report is held for the S150; report copies are supplied with your quotation.
UN38.3Transport — the eight tests in section 38.3 of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria. Every airline, courier and freight forwarder requires the test summary before accepting lithium batteries, and it is the first document your forwarder will ask for.
MSDS / SDSTransport — the 16-section safety data sheet covering the cells and the assembled pack.
IEC 62619Safety of industrial and energy-storage lithium cells and batteries. Requested by EU and Australian buyers for larger stations; arranged per model.
CEEU — Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU, with the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU where the unit includes wireless functions.
RoHSEU — restricted substances under Directive 2011/65/EU, with a test report.
REACHEU — statement that no SVHC is present above 0.1% w/w in the article.
FCCUS — Part 15B for the electronics; an FCC ID applies to models that transmit.
PSEJapan — applies to mains adapters and chargers used with the station rather than to the battery itself.
KCKorea — safety certification built on IEC 62133-2 plus KC EMC.
UKCAUK — marking for electrical safety and EMC.
ISO 9001The manufacturing partner’s quality management system certification, covering the plant that produces the range.

Every item above is quoted per model and per destination market. On a mixed order the certificate set can differ from line to line, so confirm it with your sales contact before the order is placed.

How certificates are issued

Test reports and certificates are issued to the production entity that manufactures the goods, and they cover the models supplied. Copies travel with every quotation, and we confirm the exact certificate holder and scope for your market before you commit to an order. If your customs broker or marketplace requires the holder name to match your purchase invoice, tell us at quotation stage — it is much easier to solve before production than after it.

Three documents your forwarder will ask for first

UN38.3 test summary

Required for any lithium battery shipment — sea or air. Issued per cell and per pack type, not per brand.

MSDS / SDS

The 16-section safety data sheet the carrier and the port authority file for a class 9 booking.

Transport identification report

Confirms the UN number, packing instruction and the state-of-charge limit that the shipment is declared under.
